The challenge & the build
MandiKhata replaces the paper ledger of the wholesale agri market with a distinctive 'mandi ledger' editorial interface — cream paper, ink-black serif numerals and a single saffron accent per screen. Arhatiyas log incoming lots (commodity, weight, rate), auto-calculate commission and deductions, settle sales with traders and maintain running accounts for farmers. A daily snapshot shows lots, turnover, commission and pending payments at a glance. Everything is stored locally in SQLite so it works fully offline in the field, with a sync engine, role-based farmer/trader views and regional-language localization.
