Privacy Policy

Farm Hisaab is a farm records app for poultry farmers (and later other livestock farms), published by Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) for Android. It keeps your batches, daily entries, feed, medicine, eggs, sales, dues and expenses, and works out bird counts, FCR and profit. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: your farm’s records are saved on your phone first and kept on our server in India so they are safe if the phone is lost and can be shared with the staff you add. We never sell your data and the app has no ads.

Who we are

The app is provided by Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, contact tapasdutta@outlook.com.

Your account

You sign in with Google. We receive your Google account ID, name and email address, and use them only to sign you in and to let a farm owner add you as staff by your Gmail address.

What farm data the app handles

• Farms and sheds — farm name, village, district, state, shed names and capacity.
• Batches and daily records — bird type and breed, birds placed, deaths and culls (with an optional photo), feed received and used, water, temperature, weighings, egg collection, vaccinations and medicines given.
• Sales and liftings — buyer, birds, weight, crates, eggs, rates and amounts.
• Buyers and dealers — name, phone number and village, amounts owed and payments.
• Purchases, expenses, contract terms and market rates you record.

This is saved on your phone and synced to our server, from where it reaches the other phones of your farm. Photos stay on the phone that took them. You can view and export your records at any time, including after a trial or plan ends.

Staff and roles

A farm owner can add staff by their Gmail address and choose a role. The server enforces the roles: staff can enter daily records but never receive money records(sales amounts, dues, purchases, expenses, rates) on their phones. The server also records which member added or changed which entry and when, so the owner can see it.

Subscription

A new farm account gets a 60-day free trial with every feature. After that, adding new entries needs a paid plan bought through Google Play; without one the account stays readable and exportable. We receive the purchase token and the subscription’s state and expiry from Google. Payment is handled by Google Play; we never receive card, UPI or bank details.

App usage statistics and crash reports

To fix problems and learn which features are used, Farm Hisaab uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They receive only technical information — screens opened, features used (never names, phone numbers, amounts or farm records), device model, Android version, app version, a random app-instance ID and an approximate region. The app does not collect the advertising ID and has no ads.

Device permissions

• Camera — only when you choose to take a photo of dead birds or a slip.
• Notifications — for the vaccination, feed and daily-entry reminders you turn on.
• Internet — for sign-in, syncing your farm’s records, Google Play purchases and crash reports.
• Biometrics — only if you turn on the fingerprint app-lock; your fingerprint never leaves Android.

WhatsApp reminders and reports

When you send a payment reminder or share a report, Farm Hisaab opens your own WhatsApp or share app with the message ready — you press send. The app does not send messages on your behalf.

Sharing & selling

We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. Your farm’s records are seen only by you and the members of your farm, as their role allows; our staff access the server only to keep the service running or when you ask for help. Google processes sign-in, Play purchases, statistics and crash reports on our behalf. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Access to a farm is limited to its members and their roles. Sign-in tokens are encrypted on the phone and stored only hashed on the server. The server database is backed up daily. An optional PIN and fingerprint lock protects the app on the phone.

Children

Farm Hisaab is a business tool for farm owners and their staff and is not directed at children.

Retention & deletion

Your farm’s records stay on our server while the farm account exists and are deleted when the owner deletes the account. The activity log is kept for about 13 months; server backups for 14 days. Usage statistics are kept by Google for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. So that each person gets the free trial only once, we keep one-way fingerprints (SHA-256 hashes) of the Google account ID and Gmail that started a trial; they cannot be turned back into the email.
